At Raleigh Public School the students in the Shooting Stars class have been doing a unit based around caring for the environment called ‘Kids Care'. As part of this unit they have been looking at responsible waste disposal. They have purchased new bins and labelled these with special posters they have laminated explaining what goes into each. We have a red bin for general waste, green bin for organic waste and a pink bin for recycling. Yes we know it should be yellow however we were unable to purchase a small yellow bin. The students have all been very keen to use the bins correctly and it is working well. Well done Shooting Stars for making our school more environmentally friendly.
